Tijardović Chamber Orchestra
Hari Zlodre, conductor
Valter Lovričević, concertmaster
Zoran Velić, harpsichord
The Tijardović Chamber Orchestra was founded in October 2023 on the initiative of several music enthusiasts in Split, primarily the director of the Croatian House Split, Vanessa Kleva, and conductor Hari Zlodra, as a support for numerous Split soloists, music students, guest musicians and singers.
The members of the ensemble are distinguished soloists (string players), professors at the Academy of Arts of the University of Split, teachers at the Josip Hatze Music School, and members of the orchestra of the Croatian National Theatre Split Opera.
The name Ivo Tijardović carries with it the idea of the diversity of activities that the orchestra wants to expand; it is not only a tribute to the great Split composer, but also a kind of symbol of the aspirations of the new ensemble.
Since its founding, the Tijardović Chamber Orchestra has held several notable concerts, performing works by Mozart, Wagner, Chopin, Debussy, Schoenberg, Respighi and Tijardović (seasons 2023/2024 and 2024/2025), in Split in the concert hall of the Croatian House of the same name.
