Health is a state of balance. Of body and spirit. Of the being and the world. When the balance vanishes, sickness comes. Then, as the ancient wisdom says, one should go to the medicinal spring, the sacred spring, and wash one’s face early in the morning, before the sunrise.
But how does one find medicinal springs?
There are no safe signposts. Everyone must find them on their own. Maybe in a song. In the balance of voice and instrument. In their play and talk.
Apart from the imprint, the preceding passage is the only text that can be found on the CD cover of Vidarica by the twin singers Ratko and RadišaTeofilović and the guitarist Miroslav Tadić. The two exceptional singers of traditional songs from Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo and Croatia, have blended their voices with an instrument for the first time on that CD, with the guitar and magical fingers of Miroslav Tadić. Humming quietly, the Teofilović brothers tune in, close their eyes and, without looking at each other, start singing simultaneously. The magical atmosphere between the two brothers is enriched by an inconspicuous sound of the guitar. Harmony is created, the balance of body and spirit, using the language they speak most sincerely – music!
