Sexteto Milonguero was founded in 2007 with a simple motivation to play a dance tango repertoire, especially milongas from the second half of the last century. Their passion for the beauty of tango and its evocation of old times proved to be too great and took them beyond the Buenos Aires neighborhoods – first within Argentina, and then beyond the limits of tango's country of origin: throughout Latin America, US, Canada, China and Singapore. And finally, throughout Europe, whose fascination with tango has been lasting for over a hundred years – its combination of European elegance, livelihood of freed African slaves and unbeatable Cuban rhythms.
