Like most European countries, Croatia also experienced the trend of historically informed performances popular among musicians, music researchers and critiques since 1960s. The trend is still going strong, developing and expanding in various ways, styles and interpretations, attitudes and conclusions. Young musicians show particular interest in exploring and performing Baroque music, even choosing it as their particular specialization in all of its complexity. Ensemble Ars longa is one such group, consisting of successful and talented and agile young musicians, already well established in Croatia. Even their motto acknowledges their dedication - Ars longa, vita brevis.
