CROATIAN RADIOTELEVISION WOMEN’S CHOIR
Tomislav Fačini, conductor
program: I. Kuljerić, C. Debussy, P. Bergamo
The Croatian Radiotelevision Choir has been active since the 1940s, with a particular focus on performing works by Croatian authors. The Choir brings us a spiritual sea voyage - with the compositions of Igor Kuljerić, Claude Debussy and Petar Bergamo. Kuljerić's work evokes the sea around his beloved island of Silba, and Debussy's composition exudes an impressionistic experience of the Angelus’ ringing sounds. Finally, we will listen to excerpts from a collection of madrigals by Petar Bergamo from Split.
Since the 2017/2018 season, the Croatian Radiotelevision Choir has been led by Maestro Tomislav Fačini as chief conductor, whose impressive biography highlights an important experience from Zadar, as the Artistic Director of the Musical Evenings at St Donatus from 2005 till 2009.
