On Tuesday, June 9th, starting at 8:00 PM, a concert by Ivana Kindl, the renowned musician and mentor, will take place as the finale of the two-day Masterclass organized by the "Arija" Music and Stage Studio. She will be accompanied by Tomislav Košta and Saša Miočić on the piano, and the Masterclass participants will also join the performance.
Ivana Kindl is one of our finest and most respected vocalists, with a career spanning over 20 years. Born in 1978 in Požega, she realized at the age of 15 that her life's calling was to become a singer. During her teenage years, she participated in HRT's popular talent shows Turbo Limach Show and Pljesak molim. Moving to Zagreb in 1999 marked the beginning of her journey toward fulfilling her singing dreams, and already in 2002, she released her debut album - which was also the first R&B album in Croatia - titled Trenutak istine (Moment of Truth). The song "Ja neću biti kao druge" reached the top of all major music charts, holding the number one spot for two weeks on the highly popular show Hit depo. From then until today, she has released four more studio albums (with her fifth album Put ka sebi coming out recently) and two live albums. In 2010, she won her first Porin Award for her second live album, Gospel u komediji, in the Best Spiritual Music Album category. A year later, she won the Porin for Best Female Vocal Performance for the song "Utjeha," which remains her biggest hit. She has won the popular TV show Zvijezde pjevaju (Just the Two of Us) twice alongside actors Nikša Kušelj and Goran Navojec. Her awards and accolades also include winning the Zadar Fest in 2005 and receiving the "Tereza" award for Female Singer of the Year on Zlatko Turkalj's Music Pub. Behind her are numerous performances, concerts, duets, guest appearances, and collaborations, including those with the HRT Tamburitza Orchestra, the HRT Jazz Orchestra, and various gospel ensembles. In 2023, she once again won the Porin Award for Best Female Vocal Performance. Music critics have hailed her latest album, Put ka sebi, as the absolute best album of her career. In 2024, she triumphed yet again on Zvijezde pjevaju, taking home the victory alongside director and choreographer Igor Barberić.
Tickets are available online and at the info desk of the Rector's Palace on the day of the concert, one hour before the start of the program.
